Human Development Report 2006 - Beyond scarcity: Power, poverty and the global water crisis. This year's Human Development Report explores the magnitude of the water crisis that confronts the world and provides a variety of statistics, data and valuable information on its impact.

Water Partners International- "Kids for Water" is a spotlight section focused on youth involvement in water issues. This site has fun fact sheets and other kid-friendly water resources, including lesson plans for teachers.

Environmental Protection Agency- This website can be used as a launching point for teachers to connect kids to water issues. The lesson plans and activities focus on both drinking water and ground water information.

UNICEF's Voices of Youth- A website designed for kids in an user-friendly format that includes interactive games and real life stories from the field.

Feed Your Brain- Lesson plans for grades 6-10 introduce students to the relationship between population growth and water availability.
